Live Performance on "The Loft Sessions"

I was recently lucky enough to be featured on "The Loft Sessions" a St. Louis live performance series highlighting the best local artists. It's a great feature and I was very honored to be selected. Here's one of my favorite takes:

Molly's Music Interview

I answered a few questions for the blog "Molly's Music". Share a few insights about the musical process and the new album. Check it out below!

I've Been Remixed!

A chance encounter on Soundcloud recently led to a remix of my song "Beautiful World" by a German DJ named Helmo. I have now entered the world of European deep house music. Ibiza, here I come. Check it out below, and be sure to check out the rest of Helmo's tunes...they are very groovy.

California Love

Having finally gotten some sleep after arriving back in St. Louis on Tuesday evening, I decided it would be a good time to share a few photos from my first extended tour this past week. A four show CA trek, it certainly qualified as a success in my mind, and was fantastic sharing the album with new and old friends alike. California is a second home to me, and it was an honor to do my first longer tour there.

Flying in late on Friday, I joined up with my brother and began the journey up the coast. Here are some shots from the journey. Thanks to all who came out and made it a success!

Chez Daniel, 6/18

Opener, Thomas Loughman. An old friend, with an Old Souls' songwriting and voice.

And the show:

On Tuesday, we arrived in San Luis Obispo, CA and played the "Songwriters at Play" series:

San Luis Obispo, CA 6/21

After a second San Luis Obispo gig Wednesday, the journey culminates with a backyard show in the bay area.

San Jose, CA 6/25

And then we drove 2500 miles...

A Successful Release

Almost nine months from the day I first entered the studio with the initial idea of doing an all acoustic album, I had the distinct pleasure of gathering old friends and new friends alike to celebrate the release of my new full-length, "Coin-Toss". Joined by a full backing band of some of St. Louis's finest, I also had the distinct honor of being joined by cellist Ranya Iqbal for two tracks. Ranya performed the cello sections on the album, and her presence at the live performance added so much more emotion to the performance.

Opening the show were the fantastic Riverside Wanderers, the only band with members under 30 who you will hear play Memphis Minnie covers! Harmonies so tight they only need one mic.

All told, it was a fantastic night. Thanks to all who came out to support this endeavor and allowed me to share my music with them.

Those interested can download the album for free at:

Here are some shots from the evening:

"Dark Magic" Video Premiere

A couple months ago I filmed a few live videos at Sawhorse Studios, the same studio where I recorded "Coin Toss". Here is the first of them, a solo rendition of "Dark Magic". Enjoy!

Summer Tour Dates!

Heading to the West Coast for a short run in June in support of my new effort, "Coin Toss". Hope to see you there!

Welcome to the New Website/Greetings from Phoenix!

Welcome to the New Website/Greetings from Phoenix!

Hello all! Pleased to welcome you to my new and spruced up website. I will be filling it in more as time goes by, but have a look around, take a listen to a few tunes, and enjoy yourself.

By way of an inaugeral news post, I wanted to share a few shots from my show in Phoenix, AZ last weekend. A rather spur-of-the-moment affair, I collaborated with several poet friends to pull off what turned out to be a spectacular backyard show. We heard from numerous poets and artists to open the show, followed by a performance of the excellent Isak Bond's poem "The Forbidden Apex" set to music by yours truly, a first for me (I will upload a partial video of the performance shortly). I finished off the night with a set highlighting tracks from my upcoming release "Coin Toss". Couldn't have asked for a better night to share some songs and poems with friends. Pics below!

Wailing away....
